It was later revealed that the Rock god’s vocal cords were ‘atrophying.’ He explained that while one of his cords was ‘thick as a thumb’ the other one was ‘thick as a pinky.’ Bon Jovi underwent vocal cord surgery to get them both equal again. The surgery that took place in 2022, put a hold on his career and a pause on his tours.
However, the star - whose son got engaged to Millie Bobby Brown last year - recently gave a health update. Bon Jovi attended the screening for his upcoming docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Storyand shared whether fans can expect him to ever sing again or not.

What you saw on film was shot last March in that scene when I couldn’t sing well, or two years ago when I was on the road.

While this may hint that he’s ready to take the stage again, Bon Jovi added that before he makes ANY promises about his return, he has to be able to sing ‘two and a half hours a night, four nights a week.’ He shared:
It’s just that for me, the bar is two and a half hours a night, four nights a week before I say we’re going to go and do any shows. So I’m well back on the road to recovery — not a day of it’s easy.More under this adMore under this ad

Will Jon Bon Jovi ever do a tour again?
Bon Jovi’s name is echoed in the likes of musicians like Billy Joel - who has the most lucrative career in the US. Despite his update on his health, there are chances that Bon Jovi may never return to touring the world again. The star seemed unsure if going on a tour would be possible due to his ongoing recovery, confirms The Express.

It is my desire to do a tour next year, but I’m just still recovering from a major surgery.
His upcoming docuseries is a four-part production that will premiere on April 26 on Hulu and Disney+ which will give more insight into his career from his first single ‘Runaway’ in the 1980s to present-day scenarios.
