Grimes shared on social media that she has been diagnosed with ADHD and autism. She talks about how things would have been if she had been diagnosed younger.

On Friday, 22 March, Canadian singer Grimes shared on X that she has been diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and autism. She also suspects she has dyslexia, which would explain why she ‘can't spell at all without spellcheck’.

Grimes reveals ADHD and autism diagnosis

In her X post, Grimes discusses the impact an early diagnosis of ADHD and autism would have had on her. The singer believes that if she had had that information as a child, she would ‘have worked so much less hard’ and ‘been on drugs’.

She goes on to explain that when she was a child, she had several ‘weird obsessions and motivations’ which would have been seen as part of ADHD or autism. She then adds that she could have ‘written off’ things that were hard for her, but she is ‘glad I overcame them’.

The singer goes on to criticise mental health accounts and believes they are ‘extreme infohazards’.

Her example concerns an account that claimed that ‘excessive reading’ as a child can be a ‘sign of dissociation’. Grimes hits back, saying that her ADHD symptoms were ‘worse’ when she wasn’t an ‘avid reader’.

She also believes that reading is ‘one of the best things a child can do to help with ADHD’ and that pathologising it is ‘so dark’.

My ADHD symptoms were infinitely worse when I wasn't an avid reader. An ADHD account trying to pathologise one of the best things a child can do to help with ADHD (and also become an autodidact and knowledgeable person, etc.) is so dark... I can't even begin.

In the meantime, Grimes’ ex and father to her children, Elon Musk, is going viral on social media for a party trick.

The viral video shows Elon balancing a fork and spoon on one finger while seated next to the President. The 53-year-old seems to be intensely focused on balancing the utensils while White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt appears to be observing.

As expected, comments flooded the post, with several X users questioning Musk's actions. As per Daily Mail, many compared the Tesla CEO to a child:

I also did that kind of thing when I was 5.
I bet this hits so hard if you're seven.

Others were not so kind with their statements:

The dude's so weird.
He's hoping someone will pay attention to him. 'Hey! That looks neat! Man, you're so cool!' It's so painfully transparent.
