Gérard Depardieu: Here are all the women who shared the actor's life

Gérard Depardieu has only been married once in his life, to Élisabeth Guignot.

The couple met in acting class in 1970 and got married that same year.

They eventually got divorced in 1992.

They had two children together: Guillaume, who tragically died of pneumonia in 2008, and actress Julie Depardieu.

Gérard Depardieu and French legendary singer Barbara met in the 1980s.

The pair developped a strong frienship, which sometimes turned to romantic love.

In her memoir, Barbara spoke tenderly of the actor she loved dearly:

In the 1990s, the actor began a relationship with model Karine Silla.

The couple had a daughter together, Roxane, born in 1992.

At 31, Roxane Depardieu is an artist, like her parents. She studied at the California Institute of The Arts in Los Angeles. A painter and draughtswoman, she also starred in the film directed by her mother, A Butterfly Kiss, released in 2010. She has been in a relationship for several years with her partner, Chantelle Broomes.

From 1996 to 2005, Gérard Depardieu was in a relationship with Bond girl actress Carole Bouquet.

Gérard Depardieu and Carole Bouquet met in 1979 on the set of Buffet Froid, a film by producer Bertrand Blier.

Carole Bouquet confided in Vanity Fair in 2020 about her relationship with the actor:

‘One day, he was living alone, he had split up, he liked to come to my place to tell me stories... I was alone too, having just turned 40... And I began to look at him differently. From a wonderful friend, I looked at him as a man.’

After his split from Karine Silla, Gérard Depardieu began a relationship with French dubbing actress Hélène Bizot.

The couple had the actor's fourth and final child, Jean, born in 2006.

 The little boy's name is a tribute to one of the actor's closest friends, actor Jean Carmet. Jean Depardieu is now 17.

The actor is now dating French novelist Clémentine Igou.

The couple has been together for 20 years now.

29 years younger than the actor, the young woman is a novelist and vineyard owner in Tuscany.
