Tina Turner, hailed as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, transcended borders with her dynamic presence as an American-born Swiss singer, songwriter, and actress. Rising to prominence both as one half of the celebrated duo Ike & Tina Turner and as a solo artist, Turner left an indelible mark on the music industry. Her repertoire boasted numerous chart-topping hits, including What’s Love Got to Do with It, The Best, Proud Mary, and River Deep, Mountain High. Turner's unparalleled talent earned her eight Grammy Awards and the rare distinction of being inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame twice. Additionally, she showcased her acting prowess in acclaimed films such as Tommy and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Her passing on May 24, 2023, at the age of 83, in Küsnacht, Switzerland, followed a period of declining health.
