'Friends' cast members are devastated by death of their co-star

James Michael Tyler's untimely death has taken the whole world by surprise, including some of his most loved colleagues.

On 24 October James Micheal Tyler, most popularly known as Gunther from hit show Friends, passed away at the age of 59 after fighting a four-year long battle with prostate cancer. The world knew and loved him for playing the quirky barista who was head over heels in love with Rachel, but his co-actors adored him for being a positive, funny, and loving colleague.

After the announcement of his passing, several members of the cast have been sharing their condolences on Instagram including Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc.

Gunther & Rachel

Of all the cast members, Jennifer Aniston probably shared the most screen time with Micheal Tyler given that Gunther was madly in love with her character, Rachel. To celebrate his memory, and their time together on the sitcom, Anniston posted a clip from the episode in which Gunther finally confesses his love to Rachel. She added:

Friends would not have been the same without you. Thank you for the laughter you brought to the show and to all of our lives. You will be so missed.

Courtney Cox also mourned the loss of her co-star by sharing a photo of James Micheal Taylor on the sets of Central Perk cafe and said:
