Faye speaks out about Ofcom complaints
In an interview with Grazia, Faye admitted:
I’d be lying if I said that when I saw 25,000 complaints, I wasn’t upset—I was already embarrassed about the situation... When I saw, I was more upset because I knew my friends and family would have seen that as well... [My sister Jo] wasn’t happy with how I acted. But we’ve had that conversation now, we’re over it.More under this adMore under this ad
Although Faye herself admits that she behaved ‘completely wrongly,’ the Ofcom complaints were not upheld as the TV watchdog considered the scenes showing her expletive-filled rant at Teddy to be ‘within viewers’ likely expectations of this programme’s established format.’
Despite her regrets, Faye says she learnt a lot from her experience in the villa. She said that her time on the show ‘allowed me to realise that I couldn’t run, I had to deal with my problems face on. And that’s one thing I’m grateful for—because I don’t think I would have ever overcome that.’
