Emma Watson had a huge crush on one of her Harry Potter co-stars

We’re talking about Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger. Indeed, in an interview with Seventeen magazine in 2011, Emma Watson admitted that she secretly had a crush on the actor:

On the first two films, I fell in love with Tom Felton. He was my first crush.

A most surprising revelation for fans of the saga.

At the time, the actress admitted to having been very close to her on-screen Slytherin enemy and according to her, he was fully aware of her feelings:

He knows about it. We talked about it and we still laugh about it. We are very good friends now, and it's cool.

However… there’s a twist: Tom Felton later admitted in a second interview with Seventeen that in reality, he didn't know anything about it! He replied that he had not felt the same way:

We were always very close, but no, nothing of that nature, sorry to disappoint.

Although he evidently did not have any feelings for Emma Watson, Tom Felton had a crush on Helena Bonham Carter, the actress who played Bellatrix Lestrange. Tom admitted:

She was my childhood crush.

Whilst romance never blossomed between Emma and Tom, the set of the Harry Potter films was the setting for romance for some of the film's other stars, as two very long-term couples formed between four of the series' young actors...
