How did Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford meet?
As reported by Mirror, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford met in 1997 through their mutual friend Sally Meen, who is also a TV presenter.
More under this adMore under this adHolmes had separated from his first wife, Gabrielle Holmes, 2 years prior to meeting Ruth. At the beginning of their relationship, Holmes wanted to keep it a secret and would refuse to hold hands with Langsford and wouldn’t attend events together.
Looking back on his actions, Ruth Langsford told Daily Mail in 2017 that it showed her what type of man Eamonn was:

Eamonn and Gabrielle didn’t officially divorce until 2005, by the time he had a child with Ruth in 2002. Holmes has three children with his first wife and one with his second.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford got engaged in 2010
Eamonn Holmes proposed to Ruth in 2010 after he had seen other men flirting with her at the Cheltenham Races. Ruth explained on Loose Women in 2018 that they had been having a few drinks during the racing, and Holmes had left their box for a short time.
When he returned, others had joined Ruth and some were flirting with her. She explained:
Eamonn had gone out to the loo and when he came back, there were men in the box with us flirting and chatting to me, and he said: 'I don't like them flirting with my wife.More under this adMore under this ad
And then he went: 'Actually, she's not my wife. She should be my wife.' We had been together 14 years by then. 'Why is she not my wife? Why haven't I done this?
The pair tied the knot in June 2010 at Elvetham Hall, Hampshire.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are still very intimate
In 2016, Eamonn Holmes had a double hip replacement and the TV host had jokingly said Ruth and their active sex life was to blame. He told Mirror:

Ruth revealed that their amorous activities took a bit of a hit when she went through menopause, but Eamonn was there to help her through it and make her feel better about herself and her body.
