Trump’s niece Mary Trump - who previously claimed he’s ‘terrified’ of Harris - has now added to her claims that her uncle is also ‘terrified’ of Walz. Mary wrote in her Substack blog that Harris’ newly selected running mate is the ‘opposite’ of Trump’s ‘weirdness.’
She explained:
Tim Walz is a normal American who cares about helping other Americans.More under this adMore under this ad

The Trump critic went on to praise Walz based on his background and all the work he has done as Minnesota’s governor, reports Newsweek. She said that Harris and Walz serve as better examples to show people what America has lost due to Trump and concluded:

Meanwhile, Trump and his allies criticized Harris' selection of Walz as her running mate, calling him a weak choice and aligning him with the far left. The GOP nominee sent an email to his supporters and said that Walz would be ‘even worse’ than Harris for the country. According to HuffPost, his email read:

Meanwhile, his running mate JD Vance - who once called him an ‘idiot’ - said that Walz was on the ‘far left’ of the Democratic Party. Dragging Harris down with him, he claimed that she was a ‘radical herself,’ reports BBC.

Before running the state, Walz served as a US congressman for 12 years, as per CBS News. He led his 1st Congressional District in the US House of Representatives from 2006 to 2019.
During his time as the governor, Walz put in efforts to improve healthcare, education, and infrastructure. This included the legalization of recreational marijuana, protection of abortion access in the state, free school meals for all children, and clean energy benchmarks. He also introduced a ‘red flag’ law that allows the state to confiscate guns from residents who pose a risk to themselves or society.
