Donald Trump: 43-feet-tall naked statue of the former president erected in Las Vegas
More under this adDonald Trump is often the subject of parodies and criticism. This time, someone dropped a massive nude statue of the former president, right in the heart of Las Vegas—and it's not the first time this has happened.
Former president and actual presidential candidate for the 2024 US election, Donald Trump knows how to use his image to serve his point. He recently commented on his appearance, highlighting how great his hair looked, during a public speech. However, whether it be criticism about the business mogul, or self-praise, we are all used to seeing the politician fully clothed—at least, most of the time.

Well now, some people have decided to strip him and put him on display. Here's what you should know.
A nude statue of Donald Trump is on display in Vegas
On Saturday 28 September 2024, inhabitants and visitors of Las Vegas, Nevada, were in for a treat. Out of nowhere, a 43-feet-tall naked statue of Donald Trump was erected inside a fenced-in square, right by the highway. And when we say naked, we mean the full birthday suit. The statue depicts Donald Trump frowning, with his arms thrown to the front and attached to strings as if he were being controlled by a puppeteer. According to The Wrap, the statue is made of foam-covered metal rebar, and it weighs approximately 6,000 pounds. Safe to say, it should not disappear overnight. In fact, the art work, entitled 'Crooked and Obscene', will go on a tour of the United States, so don't panic if you cannot travel to Las Vegas to see it. Dates and cities should be announced soon.

They have highlighted the importance of transparency, or lack thereof, in politicians or public figures in general.

Sadly, this isn't the first time we have had to witness a gigantic statue of a very naked Donald Trump. Back in 2016, right after he had been elected president, several of these art works had appeared in different cities in the United States. Indeed, five nude statues had been erected in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Cleveland, and Seattle.
The statues were created by a mysterious collective of artists called Indecline. The group dubbed itself an 'activist art collective', and they called their project 'The Emperor Has No Balls'. It was a clear reference to the fairytale (or Panic at the Disco! song) The Emperor's New Clothes, in which a narcissistic emperor ends up walking around naked among his people.

NYC Parks stands firmly against any unpermitted erection in city parks, no matter how small.More under this adMore under this ad
We do not know yet who is responsible for the latest nude statue. One thing is for sure, the gigantic statue should get people talking wherever it arrives next, as it embarks on a tour just like the real Donald Trump.
