Dan and his professional partner Nadiya scored their highest score yet of 28 for their Couple’s Choice dance and the public obviously enjoyed it too as they once again received enough votes not to be in the bottom 2. However, they do have the average lowest score of all the couples left in the competition.

At his day job on BBC Breakfast, Dan shared a sweet anecdote proving he truly deserves his place on the show. He said:
I had a chat with a lovely fella called Cecil in the park when I walked the dog on Sunday. He said that his wife died 30- odd years ago. And they used to dance together and he said that he stopped dancing when his wife died. Then he said, ‘I’ve watched Strictly this year for the first time in a long time. Watching you and Nadiya, like the enjoyment you get from dancing even though you’re not a dancer, you’ve never danced this before. I’ve loved watching that so much’. So that’s what the programme is all about, isn’t it?
What a sweet story!
Dan and Nadiya’s next dance
This weekend, Dan and Nadiya will be hoping to impress the judges and the public once again with an American Smooth to The Proclaimers’ King of the Road. We can’t wait to see how they do!
