Caroline Flack: A music festival is announced in the honour of late Love Island presenter

The entire nation was shocked when the news of Caroline’s demise broke. The Love Island presenter took her own life in February 2020 at the age of 40. And now that most of the COVID restrictions are over, her friend and family are organising an intimate one-day music festival–Flackstock—to celebrate her and raise money for mental health charities.

The perfect way

Flackstock will be celebrated on 25 July and will feature acts from the worlds of dance, music and comedy. The event is organised by a committee of Caroline’s friends and family which includes her mother, Christine Flack, her sister Jody and close friends, Dawn O'Porter, Natalie Pinkham, Anna Blue, Sarah Tyekiff and Leigh and Jill Francis. The idea comes from the fact that Caroline enjoyed herself the most at a music festival. Her mother confirmed:

My Caroline was never more herself or happier than at a music festival with her sister and her friends.

Flackstock is the wonderful idea of those who knew her best and the perfect way to remember her singing, dancing and most of all laughing.

Not only is Flackstock the most positive way to honour Carrie, but charities that she loved will benefit from the proceeds.

Choose Love, Mind, Samaritans, and the Charlie Waller Trust will each receive a portion of the proceeds from Flackstock. Flackstock will take place on July 25 in the afternoon and evening, with pre-sale tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster on April 27 and public sale tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. on April 29.

The list of attendees

The event will take place at Englefield House in Berkshire and will be graced by the presence of many celebrities and friends of Caroline. The performances announced so far are:Popstars Natalie Imbruglia, Louise Redknapp and Fleur East. Celebrities who will be making appearances include: Professor Green, Dermot O'Leary, Kirsty Gallacher, Paddy McGuinness, Joel Dommett, Noel Fielding, June Sarpong, Janette Manrara and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec.

Caroline’s mother expressed her gratitude to everyone involved in organising the event and said:

My family are so proud that so many people who knew Carrie loved her so very much.
