Britney Spears reacts to shocking rumours she is doing meth: 'It doesn't make any sense'

In 2021, Britney Spears took her father to court to break out of his control. Spears had been under conservatorship since February 1, 2008, which ended on November 12, 2021.

Since being freed from her father’s control, many fans have become concerned for the singer’s mental health and some have even suggested her new husband is now controlling her. Both Britney and her husband, Sam Asghari, have denied those concerns.

Now her family has shared their concerns and worries that the Baby One More Time singer will end up like Amy Winehouse. Here’s what we know so far about Britney’s family’s concerns.

Britney Spears’ family is worried about her

As reported by Daily Mail, many fans were concerned about the singer as many of her social media posts were ‘bizarre’ and some suggested that Spears was going through another mental health crisis, which is why the conservatorship was put in place.

Britney’s family has suggested that the pop icon is on drugs and is worried she will end up like Amy Winehouse, who died of alcohol poisoning.

Talking to Daily Mail, her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, revealed he thinks Britney is on meth:

I fear she's on meth – I've been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up

He added that he’s terrified:

It's terrifying. She is the mother of my boys.

I don't want the boys to wake up one morning and find their mother has taken an overdose.

Daily Mail also reports that Britney’s sons, Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, have refused to visit their mother after they claimed they’ve seen drugs being delivered to her house.

Britney Spears hits back at the drug rumours

On June 11, 2023, Britney Spears took to Instagram to share a statement concerning her ex-husband’s concerns.

She has expressed that her family’s claims are ‘not true’ and that it ‘doesn’t make any sense’ to her.

The fact that people are claiming things that are not true is so sad. This may not even be them saying such things because it doesn't make any sense to me for them to be saying that.

She then talked about her son Preston, and how she never saw him when he would visit as he would shut himself in his room.
