Big Brother UK: Who is Zak and does he have a girlfriend?

Big Brother’s long-awaited reboot with hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu has gathered the most eclectic and diverse cast in the show’s history. The inclusive new format of the show seeks to represent all facets of the UK and today we meet Zak, a contestant with ‘a personality the world needs to see' and a unique backstory that reflects the ever evolving backgrounds that make up the fabric of UK society.

Who is Big Brother contestant Zak?

Zak is a 28-year-old model from Manchester. Originally from Thailand, he moved to the UK at the age of 10 not speaking a word of english. Zak comes from humble beginnings as he states:

I actually grew up in the jungle in Thailand. People automatically think I grew up in Manchester but when I tell them my life story they are quite surprised. When I was a kid I used to collect snakes and everything.

Since then he has worked to become a model for leading brands such as ASOS and BohooMan.

Zak began capturing the hearts of fans when he opened up about wanting to save money to create a food bank and park for his village back in Thailand. He also happens to be part of the first potential love interests that the fans are whispering about in social media. Zak could be seen laying in bed with contestant Noky while she caressed his head and back.

Does Zak have a girlfriend?

Fans have been perplexed since, as during that same episode, Zak mentioned that he was in a 3-year-relationship with a woman back home. He said:

So, I've been with my missus now for 3 years. It's not been as smooth.

Fans were gutted at the revelation, one user tweeted:

Zak and Noky would’ve been cute it’s a shame that he’s in a relationship 😭#BBUK

Only the next few weeks will reveal whether or not Zak and Noky's 'friendship' will develop into something more, but fans will certainly be keeping a very close eye on them.

Zak mentioned that his family and friends have always pushed him to appear on TV, however he was hesitant to go on a dating show likeLove Islandso he opted for Big Brother. He said, as quoted by The Sun:

They ask me every single year, they’ve been trying to get me on for so many years.

If I was single, I would think about it - I don’t know if Love Island is my kind of show, but I’d think about it, we’ll see.

All I’m going to say is this isn’t the last you’re going to see of me.
