In a twist of events, Amanda Abbington is understood to be asking for Strictly’s backstage footage in a bid to review it after her PTSD diagnosis.

According to The Sun, the Sherlock actress is taking legal advice and is keen on reviewing the rehearsal footage after her departure from the show. Amanda believes that reviewing the footage will help her claims about Giovanni’s alleged behaviour towards her.
Since quitting the show in October due to medical reasons, Amanda has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This comes after ‘perfectionist’ Giovanni’s behaviour led her to quit the show. An unknown on-set source confirmed:

Amanda was also snubbed from the show’s finale despite being one of the favourites to lift the Glitterball trophy at one point.
Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice and previous feuds
Giovanni Pernice may have won the show in 2021 alongside EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, but he has had many fall-outs with his previous partners. In 2016, former Love Island host Laura Whitmore admitted she ‘cried every day’ and felt ‘uncomfortable’ while training with him.
