Alison Hammond: New boyfriend David Putman’s mother urges him to dump This Morning star, friend confides

This Morning star Alison Hammond revealed this year that she has been dating masseur David Putman. She first booked David in between her busy filming schedule and the 26-year-old fell in love with her. Their friendship turned romantic late last year and David has also met Alison’s son Aiden who also approves of him.

However, David’s Russian mother Olga reportedly has a problem with their relationship. Alison - who hosts This Morning and the Great British Bake Off - and David’s relationship is reportedly outside her belief system.

Seeing how the two have a considerable age gap and considering Alison’s salary from her TV career, David’s mother is understood to be very ‘uncomfortable’ with their relationship. According to his friend, David’s mother calls him every day to dump the 49-year-old star and find himself a ‘nice Russian girl.’

This friend told The Sun:

She thinks Alison is way too old for David and doesn’t like all the attention her TV fame has brought to her son.

She’s uncomfortable that her son is with someone who has so much more financial power than him. Olga’s traditional values don’t sit well with their relationship.

Olga raised her children in the Orthodox Church and as such her son’s new relationship ‘doesn’t fit her beliefs.’ She’s also worried about the gossip that circulates around in their hometown. The friend added:

She’s told him in no uncertain terms that he must end it. She calls her son almost every day and tells him how unhappy she is.

However, David is very happy with his relationship with Alison - who rose to fame from Big Brother- and wouldn’t let anything his mother says affect him.

David is a hunky 6ft10 masseur and model who often posts his shirtless pictures on Instagram. According to MailOnline, David lives in Brighton and has a proud Russian heritage. He left Russia to move to the UK in December 2022. His father David Sr met his mother Olga after divorcing his first wife. The couple went on to have three boys and David is the youngest of the lot.

The 26-year-old regularly shares snaps of his travels on social media and appears to live a comfortable life. Alison - who is the new host of For The Love Of Dogs - has had a turbulent love life, but David has allegedly made her ‘happier’ than she ever was.
